About

My work analyzes the way legal movements mobilize around changes in institutional structures, specifically those structures that give substance to property rights and property relations.  My first case study was anti-environmental regulation litigation, especially along the eastern coast of the US, much of which has been sponsored by libertarian and neoliberal lawyers.  This work has produced several articles and book chapters, and I hope to produce a monograph sometime in the next year for publication.  More recently, my work has involved analyzing property rights and the meaning of property in disaster contexts.  This work is in data collection stage, and is being co-authored with my SIUC colleague, Prof. Randy Burnside, and our graduate student, Logan Strother.
